Premium Seafoods Group’s groundfish facility operates year-round employing approximately 55 employees. The facility utilizes modern state of the art equipment to process Ocean Perch, Haddock and Cod.
The facility also houses a 1 million pound cold storage facility as well as blast freezers. The groundfish facility is CFIA, USFDA and EU approved and MSC certified, and follows a HACCP based Quality Management Program. It has an onsite lab that regularly tests its products to insure high quality and safety standards are met. |
Premium Seafoods Group has on site cold storage facility that allows us to keep 1 million pounds of frozen products close at hand for easy distribution to our customers. The 3,500ft2 facility is regularly monitored by our full time, on site refrigeration technician. The temperature is maintained at – 28 °C, which well exceeds the requirements of the Canadian Food Inspection Agency.
